The special events during Global Finals maintains the positive atmosphere of cooperation and friendship from teams all over the world.

We will keep a short list of key items to check out on this page. They will keep changing and updating until you leave for Knoxville!

Most events are not listed here, but your Team Manager already has information about them in their d2k.7 Global Finals book! These include the "Out-of-The-Box" Costume Ball, The Really Big Duct Tape Thing (RBDTT), Camps at d2k.7, I do DI-Idol!, High School and College Graduation Celebration, Club DI and so much more!

 

Improv Fiesta

 

If you’re looking for a good place to put your creativity to use, we’ve got a party for you! There will be two Improv Stages and one Performance Stage, all providing lots of FUN!

Plan on joining us to entertain or to be entertained at Presidential Courtyard on Thursday, from 7:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. What a show this will be!! Pre-registration is now closed, and was very limited!

At the Improv Stages, participants are randomly picked from the audience. The teams hosting the Improv Stage plan out Improv games and activities. You don't sign up in advance to be part of an improv game -you just might be picked out of the audience!

At the Performance stage, teams sign up in advance to present a pre-rehearsed performance. Your performance could be a skit, song, dance, dramatic scene, etc. This stage is hosted by the University Level teams. You can sign up in advance for this, but there are limited openings, so don't be sad if you are not selected. We have room for 8 high school teams, 8 middle school teams, and 7 elementary school teams.

Note: There will be a very limited onsite sign up at Global Finals for 4 additional Performance teams on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 1pm on Thursday May 24 at the Improv Fiesta information table in the Presidential Courtyard.
