This team proved that you can't judge a card by its cover. When opened, each of the four larger than life greeting cards revealed a whole new dimension. The appraisers were "wowed" by the intricate pop-up, 3-D details, in-depth research and elaborate planning that produced these "out-of-the-box" scenes.

This daring three-man team took risk-taking to new heights expanding their team roster with computer-controlled animated robotic talking heads. The success or failure of their solution rested entirely on the team's computer programming abilities. To the delight of both the audience and appraisers, their solutions went on without a hitch. The talking heads spoke right on cue throughout the performance.

Using elements of origami to create a glueless card structure, this team's design not only met specifics of the challenge but was also unique, innovative and the sole structure created by any elementary team without the use of glue. The structure check-in appraisers were intrigued and impressed with its simplicity and elegance. This was the most creative design solution to this challenge.
