At one moment you may taste the tang of sauce currie in France, and then in the next moment you hear traditional throat singing in Tuva. Poof! You touch the mysteries of ancient Egypt. The design and engineering of this team’s totally functional “Global Gardening/Magic Microscope TraDItionator” knocked out this team of Appraisers! First, its three specifically selected seeds grew flowers which introduced each nation’s tradition. Then, the brilliant botanist utilized moving microscope slides, a functioning water can, and a seed transporter to draw us into the team’s imaginations. Finally, the team demonstrated a true comprehension of the challenge through a politically relevant story about national seed banks. They bridged technology and creativity in this challenge, just as we feel they will bridge the values of traDItion with the promise of the future.
